The Panaeolus Cyanescens is best known as “Hawaiian” (or “Copelandia”), but in reality, the Panaeoulus Cyanescens family can be found in Brazil, Mexico and even in France. As the name says, this strain of Panaeolus Cyanescens was found on the island of Jamaica, which has perfect conditions for this strain.

Just like the other strains of Panaeolus Cyanescens, the Jamaica needs a bit more attention than the Psilocybe Cubensis strains as it is more sensitive to humidity, temperature and fresh air. Neither will it colonise the substrate as heavily as the Psilocybe Cubensis strains. The Panaeolus Cyanescens “Jamaica” will require a bit more attention when cultivating but, when the first pins come up you will have a sea of greys mushrooms heads.

The best substrate for Panaeolus Cyanescens “Jamaica” is a dung based one, the optimal temperature is 23º C to 26,5º C with humidity between 90% and 99% and a lot of air exchange. The mushrooms have thin steams and small heads but, can grow up to 25 cm.
